Children’s eligibility and programs
Holland America’s family FAQ lists supervised Kids Club activities for ages 3–17. Children aged 3–12 need parent registration and sign-in/sign-out arrangements.
Planning the trip together
Register early and ask about age-group sessions on your departure. On a sightseeing-heavy itinerary, keep a reserve day’s energy for the port you most want to explore together. Check stroller access and the length of excursions before reserving. Older children may enjoy the destination program as much as club time, so make the daily plan together rather than assuming every session will appeal.
What to check with Holland America Line
- Confirm age and toilet-training eligibility.
- Review club hours and parent registration.
- Check excursion distances and transport time.
Before paying a family cruise deposit
- Give the line each child’s age on embarkation day and the exact itinerary before paying a deposit.
- Confirm a bed for every guest, cot availability, and any connecting-cabin arrangement in the booked category.
- Check passports, visas and consent documents for children travelling with one parent or another guardian.
- Ask about club registration, independent toilet use, care hours, fees and age or height limits on activities.
Age rules, programs and availability can change. The cruise line’s current terms for your booking and departure govern your trip.
