Cruising with children on Oceania Cruises

Oceania is not an option for a new cruise booking with children under eighteen. Its policy change matters even if you have seen earlier family-trip descriptions.

Children’s eligibility and programs

Oceania announced that new reservations made from January 7, 2026 are for guests aged eighteen and over. Existing reservations involving younger guests made before that date are being honored.

Planning the trip together

If your family has an earlier reservation, contact the line with the original booking details before making changes or adding guests. Ask whether a proposed change affects the reservation’s status under the policy. For a new multigenerational trip including minors, choose another line. Families travelling with adult children can still consider Oceania, with every guest meeting the current age requirement.

What to check with Oceania Cruises

  • Check the original booking date if travelling with a minor.
  • Confirm how changes affect an earlier reservation.
  • For a new booking ensure every guest is eighteen or older.

Before paying a family cruise deposit

  • Give the line each child’s age on embarkation day and the exact itinerary before paying a deposit.
  • Confirm a bed for every guest, cot availability, and any connecting-cabin arrangement in the booked category.
  • Check passports, visas and consent documents for children travelling with one parent or another guardian.
  • Ask about club registration, independent toilet use, care hours, fees and age or height limits on activities.

Age rules, programs and availability can change. The cruise line’s current terms for your booking and departure govern your trip.
