Children’s eligibility and programs
Ponant advertises a selection of family cruises. Its general FAQ includes minimum-age requirements, with expedition constraints requiring additional attention; do not treat a family-themed label as permission for a child on every voyage.
Planning the trip together
Ask what youth activities and supervision are included on the chosen departure. Review shore transfers and adventure requirements separately from boarding eligibility. A child comfortable exploring with adults may enjoy a cultural itinerary differently from a long polar journey. Compare cabin arrangements and ask whether a suitable extra bed is available before buying flights or connecting travel.
What to check with Ponant
- Confirm route-specific age acceptance.
- Verify youth activities on your sailing.
- Check landing limits and cabin sleeping arrangements.
Before paying a family cruise deposit
- Give the line each child’s age on embarkation day and the exact itinerary before paying a deposit.
- Confirm a bed for every guest, cot availability, and any connecting-cabin arrangement in the booked category.
- Check passports, visas and consent documents for children travelling with one parent or another guardian.
- Ask about club registration, independent toilet use, care hours, fees and age or height limits on activities.
Age rules, programs and availability can change. The cruise line’s current terms for your booking and departure govern your trip.
