Cruising with children on Princess Cruises

Princess offers distinct spaces for younger and older children. Match the child to the right group and check the ship’s program before building a daily schedule around it.

Children’s eligibility and programs

Princess describes The Treehouse for ages 3–7 and The Lodge for 8–12. Registration and sign-in/sign-out arrangements depend on age; review the onboard-experience FAQ for the rules that apply to your children.

Planning the trip together

Ask about teen activities separately when travelling with a mixed-age family. Check toilet-training requirements and parent-supervised options for a younger child. On an itinerary with long shore days, alternate ambitious outings with quieter family time. Confirm any paid care or activities in advance so the youth program’s inclusion is not confused with every possible family extra.

What to check with Princess Cruises

  • Confirm current age groups and registration.
  • Check toilet-training and sign-out rules.
  • Review excursion pace and any paid care.

Before paying a family cruise deposit

  • Give the line each child’s age on embarkation day and the exact itinerary before paying a deposit.
  • Confirm a bed for every guest, cot availability, and any connecting-cabin arrangement in the booked category.
  • Check passports, visas and consent documents for children travelling with one parent or another guardian.
  • Ask about club registration, independent toilet use, care hours, fees and age or height limits on activities.

Age rules, programs and availability can change. The cruise line’s current terms for your booking and departure govern your trip.
