Children’s eligibility and programs
Saga’s eligibility guidance describes holidays for people aged fifty and over, with accompanying travellers generally needing to be at least forty. Confirm the applicable cruise’s precise booking conditions for every guest.
Planning the trip together
A parent travelling with a grown-up child should check the child’s eligibility instead of reading “adult” as automatically sufficient. For a family including younger guests, select another operator. If every traveller meets Saga’s requirements, compare the itinerary and cabin arrangements in the usual way. Do not plan a family reunion around an exception unless Saga has expressly confirmed it before payment.
What to check with Saga Cruises
- Confirm the lead guest meets the age requirement.
- Check the companion age rule for the cruise.
- Choose another line if any family member is ineligible.
Before paying a family cruise deposit
- Give the line each child’s age on embarkation day and the exact itinerary before paying a deposit.
- Confirm a bed for every guest, cot availability, and any connecting-cabin arrangement in the booked category.
- Check passports, visas and consent documents for children travelling with one parent or another guardian.
- Ask about club registration, independent toilet use, care hours, fees and age or height limits on activities.
Age rules, programs and availability can change. The cruise line’s current terms for your booking and departure govern your trip.
