Cruising with children on Seabourn

Seabourn can be evaluated as a luxury holiday spent together with a child, with different entry requirements for ordinary voyages, crossings and expeditions. Start with the route’s age rules.

Children’s eligibility and programs

Seabourn’s minors guidance excludes children six months old or younger on ordinary voyages and twelve months old or younger on transoceanic voyages. Its Antarctica expedition guidance sets a minimum age of six years. Confirm the exact sailing’s requirements.

Planning the trip together

Discuss cabin layout, dining and shore activities with the line before booking. Arrange a realistic supervision plan and ask directly about any care services you need. On an expedition, acceptance on the ship does not establish eligibility for every landing or optional activity. Keep family downtime in the schedule instead of relying on a youth program unless the operator confirms one for your voyage.

What to check with Seabourn

  • Check the route category and child’s exact age.
  • Confirm guardian requirements and cabin beds.
  • Verify activity eligibility and supervision arrangements.

Before paying a family cruise deposit

  • Give the line each child’s age on embarkation day and the exact itinerary before paying a deposit.
  • Confirm a bed for every guest, cot availability, and any connecting-cabin arrangement in the booked category.
  • Check passports, visas and consent documents for children travelling with one parent or another guardian.
  • Ask about club registration, independent toilet use, care hours, fees and age or height limits on activities.

Age rules, programs and availability can change. The cruise line’s current terms for your booking and departure govern your trip.
