Cruising with children on Swan Hellenic

Swan Hellenic’s cultural and remote expeditions have different child-age considerations. Treat the route’s suitability guidance as seriously as the minimum age.

Children’s eligibility and programs

Swan Hellenic’s terms describe limited acceptance from six months on non-remote voyages. They say polar or remote trips are not appropriate for under-eights, with ages six and seven requiring explicit approval and a waiver.

Planning the trip together

Seek written acceptance for the child and exact departure before booking flights. Review Zodiac transfers, expedition activities and the family’s supervision plan with the line. Its terms do not allow children to be left unaccompanied aboard during shore or Zodiac outings. Be prepared to change your own excursion plans if a child cannot or does not want to join.

What to check with Swan Hellenic

  • Obtain approval where the terms require it.
  • Check remote-voyage suitability and activity limits.
  • Plan an accompanying adult for each outing.

Before paying a family cruise deposit

  • Give the line each child’s age on embarkation day and the exact itinerary before paying a deposit.
  • Confirm a bed for every guest, cot availability, and any connecting-cabin arrangement in the booked category.
  • Check passports, visas and consent documents for children travelling with one parent or another guardian.
  • Ask about club registration, independent toilet use, care hours, fees and age or height limits on activities.

Age rules, programs and availability can change. The cruise line’s current terms for your booking and departure govern your trip.
