About Braemar

Braemar was built in Valencia, Spain, and entered service in 1993 as Crown Dynasty, sailing under several names for Cunard, Majesty and Norwegian before Fred. Olsen bought her in 2001. A 2008 refit added a 31-meter midsection, and in October 2019, carrying a full complement of 929 guests, she became the longest ship to sail through the Corinth Canal. In March 2020 she made headlines when passengers tested positive for COVID-19 on a Caribbean cruise and Cuba allowed them to disembark and fly home. She never returned to service, was put up for sale in 2022 and was handed over to Villa Vie Residences in February 2024, now sailing as Villa Vie Odyssey.
