About Carnival Freedom
Carnival Freedom is the last of the Conquest-class ships, built at Fincantieri's Marghera yard, launched in Venice in April 2006 and delivered in February 2007. She carries about 2,980 guests on 110,000 gross tons. A 2023 funnel fire was followed by a dry dock in Cádiz that fitted a new funnel and the red, white and blue livery, and she had a second funnel fire in 2024. A 35-day dry dock in Marseille in 2026 installed a lower whale-tail funnel that lets her reach more ports, along with a redesigned casino and accessibility improvements. She sails Bahamas and Caribbean cruises from Port Canaveral until May 2027, then moves to Norfolk, Virginia.
