About Carnival Sunrise
Carnival Sunrise entered service in 1999 as Carnival Triumph, a Destiny-class ship of about 101,500 gross tons built by Fincantieri at Monfalcone. In February 2013 an engine-room fire left her without power, and she was towed to Mobile, Alabama, returning to service that June. A US$200 million refurbishment in Cádiz, Spain, in 2019 brought her up to date and gave her the Sunrise name. She carries about 2,980 guests and features Playlist Productions shows, the Punchliner Comedy Club, RedFrog Pub, Guy's Pig & Anchor Smokehouse | Brewhouse and Bonsai Sushi. She sails mostly Bahamas cruises from Miami.
