About Celestyal Crystal
Celestyal Crystal was built in Finland as the cruise ship Sally Albatross on the hull of a 1980 Baltic ferry destroyed by fire, and was re-delivered in 1992. After sailing as Leeward, SuperStar Taurus and Silja Opera, she joined the Louis group as Louis Cristal in July 2007 and was renamed Celestyal Crystal in 2014. She sailed in Greece and, for several seasons, in Cuba, and a 2015 refit added 43 balconies. Replaced by Celestyal Journey, she ended her last cruise on 20 August 2023 and was sold for scrapping at Alang, India, in 2025.
