About Costa Luminosa
Costa Luminosa was a 92,600-ton ship built at Fincantieri's Marghera yard on a hybrid of Carnival's Spirit and Vista designs, the sister of Costa Deliziosa. It entered service in May 2009 and was christened in Genoa together with Costa Pacifica in a double ceremony that set a world record. Over its Costa career it sailed the Mediterranean, the Baltic and Norway, the Persian Gulf from Dubai and the Caribbean, and from 2017 it spent summers on Greek island cruises and winters in the Caribbean. Carnival Corporation moved the ship to Carnival Cruise Line, which took it over on 8 September 2022, and it now sails as Carnival Luminosa.
