About Emerald Astra

Emerald Astra is Emerald's newest river ship, a 180-guest Star-Ship that made her maiden voyage on May 3, 2026, a nine-day cruise from Budapest to Bucharest. Her design borrows from Emerald's yachts, with a grey-tinted glass exterior and updated interiors, while keeping the fleet's pool that converts to a cinema, several dining options and a sun deck; she is also the first Emerald ship with a free guest laundry. She was christened in Amsterdam on May 31, 2026, with travel advisor Toni Day as godmother. Emerald uses her on the Danube and Rhine, including Danube Delights between Munich and Budapest.
