About Enchantment of the Seas
Enchantment of the Seas is a Vision-class ship that entered service in 1997 and stands apart from her sisters because she was stretched in 2005: at the Keppel Verolme yard in Rotterdam she was cut in two and given a new midsection more than 70 feet long, which lifted her tonnage to about 82,900. A further dry-dock refurbishment followed in Freeport, Bahamas, in December 2012. Like the rest of her class she has large expanses of glass. She is based in Tampa, Florida, where she sails Western Caribbean cruises year-round, some with a call at Perfect Day at CocoCay.
