About Liberty of the Seas
Liberty of the Seas, the second Freedom-class ship, entered service in May 2007 and shared the title of world's largest passenger ship with her older sister until 2009. Renovations in 2011 and 2016 added cabins, new restaurants and a water slide complex, and another overhaul in late April 2026 brought The Lime & Coconut bar, an escape room, Izumi Teppanyaki, Starbucks and more cabins. She keeps the class's FlowRider and ice rink. From 31 October 2026 she is based in Galveston, Texas, sailing Western Caribbean cruises year-round.
