About Nieuw Amsterdam
Nieuw Amsterdam is the second Signature-class ship, the 81st ship in Holland America's history and the fourth to carry the name, in service since July 2010. She carries about 2,100 guests on some 86,700 gross tons, and her design pays tribute to New York City, with an art collection inspired by Art Deco. She splits the year between the Caribbean and Panama Canal, sailing from Fort Lauderdale, and Alaska, with cruises from Vancouver and one-way routes to Whittier. From late 2027 her schedule turns to South America and the Mediterranean.
