About Renaissance

Renaissance was built by Fincantieri at Monfalcone and entered service in December 1993 as Holland America Line's Maasdam. Sold in 2020 to Seajets, which laid her up as Aegean Myth, she was bought in 2022 by the new French line Compagnie Française de Croisières and returned to service in June 2023. When CFC merged with Ambassador in January 2025 to form the Ambassador Group, she joined the fleet, with engine upgrades scheduled for January 2025, and she now sails for the French market as Ambassador Croisières. At 55,575 gross tons she carries about 1,100 to 1,260 guests. European cruises sail from Dunkirk and Marseille, and in winter 2026/27 she offers Caribbean cruises from Pointe-à-Pitre, which Ambassador also sells to British guests as fly cruises.
