About Safari Explorer

Built in 1998, Safari Explorer is a small, U.S.-flagged expedition yacht, 44 metres long, with 18 cabins for 36 guests on three decks. She spends winters in Hawaii, on one-way cruises between Kona and Molokai that take in the four main islands, and summers in Alaska, where she sails Prince William Sound, the Inside Passage and San Juan Islands, and the Aleutian Islands. A rooftop sun lounge, an open bridge and a hot tub used on Alaska cruises join kayaks, paddleboards, skiffs and snorkel gear, and meals and drinks, including beer, wine and spirits, are part of the fare.
