About Viking Alsvin
Viking Alsvin is a four-deck Viking Longship for 190 guests that joined the fleet in 2014. The ship is named for Alsvin, one of the two horses said to pull the sun's chariot across the sky; the name means "very swift." Through 2027 it sails chiefly on Cities of Light, a Moselle, Rhine and Main cruise between Trier and Nuremberg with stays in Paris and Prague. Its schedule also includes Christmas on the Main & Moselle sailings and Paris to the Swiss Alps, a Moselle and Rhine cruise from Trier to Basel framed by stays in Paris and Zurich. Public rooms follow the Longship pattern: a lounge with floor-to-ceiling glass doors, a panoramic restaurant, the indoor-outdoor Aquavit Terrace at the bow and a sun deck with solar panels.
