About Voyager of the Seas
Voyager of the Seas is the lead ship of the Voyager class, built at Kvaerner Masa-Yards in Turku, Finland, and named in November 1999 by Olympic figure skater Katarina Witt. The class introduced the Royal Promenade, an indoor street of shops and bars, and the first ice rink at sea. A 2014 refit raised her tonnage to 138,194, and a US$97 million Royal Amplified refit in 2019 added 72 cabins, water slides and other upgrades. In 2026-27 she sails Mexican Riviera cruises from Los Angeles in winter and Alaska cruises from Seattle in summer before heading to Australia.
