Four bundles, a short sale
Carnival Cruise Line has launched FunPacks. They bundle drinks, Wi-Fi, dining, shore excursions and other extras into one pre-cruise purchase. According to Carnival's FunPacks page, you can buy them in My Cruise Manager from October 13 to October 30, 2026. They cover sailings that depart from October 31, 2026, through December 31, 2027.
You must buy at least three days before you sail. You cannot buy them on board. Prices are per guest, per day, and must cover the whole cruise. Carnival president Christine Duffy called FunPacks "our largest collection of packages to date," according to Cruise Industry News.
What each FunPack includes
Carnival lists four packs. Its savings claims compare the pack with buying each item on its own on a six-day cruise.
Kidstarter, $25 per day (ages 3 to 17). Unlimited soda and juice through Bottomless Bubbles, with a souvenir cup. Social Wi-Fi on one device. 1,000 arcade tokens. Half off bulk candy at Cherry on Top. A free lanyard. Carnival says it saves up to 50%.
Zero Proof, $50 per day (ages 3 and up). Unlimited non-alcoholic drinks through CHEERS! Zero Proof. Value Wi-Fi. A $25 specialty dining discount and a $50 shore excursion discount. Zero-proof cocktails, alcohol-free beer and non-alcoholic sparkling wine are for guests 21 and over. Carnival says it saves up to 35%.
Social, $60 per day (21 and up). Three alcoholic drinks a day, each worth up to $20, plus unlimited non-alcoholic drinks. This beverage option, called CHEERS! Social, is new and is only sold inside this pack. It also includes Premium Wi-Fi, one specialty dinner worth up to $55, one shore excursion worth up to $100, and half off eligible spa treatments and Dreams Studio photo packages. Carnival says it saves up to 50%.
Epic, $99 per day (21 and up). The full CHEERS! package of up to 15 alcoholic drinks a day, plus unlimited non-alcoholic drinks. Premium Wi-Fi. Two specialty dinners and two shore excursions at the same caps as Social. The same spa and photo discounts. A bottle of sparkling wine and one wash-and-fold laundry bag. Carnival says it saves up to 55%.
Bonsai Teppanyaki and The Chef's Table are excluded from the dining credits. Carnival also lists Faster to the Fun as excluded from the excursion credits. If you pick an excursion or a dinner that costs more than the credit, you pay the difference. Unused value is lost.
Rules that change the math
The biggest rule is about the cabin. If any guest aged 21 or over buys the Social or Epic pack, every guest 21 or over in that cabin must buy the same pack. Carnival says packages "cannot be mixed within a stateroom." Guests aged 20 and under do not have to buy one.
On sailings from Galveston, New York and Norfolk, the alcohol benefits in Social and Epic start at 6 a.m. on day two. Carnival says the price is adjusted for that.
Some pre-cruise benefits must be redeemed online before a deadline. If you miss it, they are forfeited and cannot be used on board. If you already hold an Essentials or Ultimate package, it cannot be converted. You must cancel it before buying a FunPack. FunPacks can be refunded if you cancel before sailing under Carnival's pre-cruise policy. Unused benefits have no cash value.
Prices are about to start moving
FunPacks arrive just ahead of a pricing change. Starting December 1, 2026, Carnival will set beverage package and Wi-Fi prices by sailing length, itinerary and season, according to Cruise Industry News. In plain terms, the same drink package could cost more on one cruise than another. FunPacks, by contrast, are sold at a flat daily price during this sale.
How to decide
Start with what you would buy anyway. If you always buy CHEERS! and Wi-Fi, the Epic pack adds dining, excursions and spa savings on top. If you drink one or two cocktails a day, the Social pack's three-drink cap may fit better. A family with teens might pair Zero Proof for the under-21s with nothing for the adults, since the matching rule only applies to adults on Social and Epic.
Then add up the real cost for the whole cabin and every day of the trip. Compare that with the items you would actually use.
My take
These are worth a careful look if you already plan to buy a drink package and Wi-Fi. The deadline is short, so price your cruise now. Just make sure the dinner and excursion credits match things you would book, or the headline savings will not be yours.
