About AIDAaura

AIDAaura was a 42,289-ton ship built by Aker MTW in Wismar and christened by Heidi Klum in Warnemünde in April 2003, a twin of AIDAvita. With 633 cabins for about 1,266 guests, it was the last of AIDA's smaller ships and sailed the line's longer, more unusual Selection voyages, including a 117-day world cruise from Hamburg in 2018-19 and winter cruises to northern Norway. Its final AIDA voyage ended in Bremerhaven on 21 September 2023. Celestyal Cruises bought the ship that November and has sailed it as Celestyal Discovery since March 2024.
