About AIDAprima
AIDAprima is AIDA's flagship, a 125,572-ton Hyperion-class ship built by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries in Nagasaki, the first AIDA ship since 2003 not built by Meyer Werft. Construction delays pushed its debut to 2016, and it was christened in Hamburg in May that year. It carries about 3,300 guests and features the Beach Club, a pool area under a transparent dome, and the Four Elements area with an indoor water slide, climbing wall and lazy river. After its planned Middle East winter was cancelled, it spends autumn 2026 in the Canary Islands and winter on Baltic and Norway cruises from Kiel, then moves to Hamburg in May 2027 for a summer of Norwegian fjord voyages.
