About American Encore

American Encore is the newest of American Cruise Lines' American Riverboats, a 180-guest ship that began sailing on the Columbia and Snake rivers in May 2026 and was christened in Lewiston, Idaho, on May 12, the first riverboat christening held in that state. It uses a reworked version of the series layout, with the River Lounge moved down to the lowest deck and a Signature Suite of about 1,500 square feet that the line describes as the largest cabin on any riverboat. The ship has five decks, a glass atrium, a Sky Lounge, a Storyteller Lounge and the Back Porch Café, and every cabin has a balcony. It sails between Portland, Oregon, and Clarkston, Washington.
