About Freedom of the Seas

Freedom of the Seas was the largest passenger ship ever built when she was completed in 2006 and is the namesake of the Freedom class, a lengthened version of the Voyager design. The class brought the FlowRider surf simulator, the H2O Zone water play area and hot tubs cantilevered over the sea, and Freedom also has an ice rink, a rock wall, mini golf and a three-deck theater. A US$116 million dry dock in early 2020 was her latest major refit. She sails Caribbean cruises from Miami in winter and Norwegian fjords, Northern Europe and Iberia voyages from Southampton in summer 2027.
