Greg Mortimer

About Greg Mortimer

Greg Mortimer is Aurora Expeditions' first purpose-built ship, an Infinity-class vessel owned by SunStone Ships and built by China Merchants Heavy Industry at Haimen, where she was named after the company's co-founder in a combined naming and delivery ceremony on 6 September 2019. The 104-meter, 7,892-ton ship has eight decks and 76 cabins and takes up to 148 guests, or 130 on polar expeditions. Her Ulstein X-Bow is designed to cut through swell for a smoother crossing. In April 2020 a COVID-19 outbreak on board left her unable to dock in several South American ports until Uruguay let passengers ashore. She sails Antarctic voyages from Ushuaia and Arctic and European itineraries in the northern summer.
