About Le Bellot
Le Bellot is the fifth Ponant Explorer and takes her name from Joseph René Bellot, the French naval officer who explored the Arctic. Ponant ordered her in March 2018 together with Le Jacques Cartier; her hull came from Vard's Tulcea yard and she was delivered in March 2020. She carries up to 184 guests in 92 staterooms and suites, with the Blue Eye underwater lounge, pool and stern marina. Her deployments are among the most varied in the fleet: Costa Rica, Panama and Mexico's Sea of Cortez in winter, then the British Isles, Iceland, Greenland, the Great Lakes and the Saint Lawrence.
