About Le Bougainville
Le Bougainville, the third Ponant Explorer, takes her name from the admiral and navigator Louis-Antoine de Bougainville. Her hull was built in Romania and she was completed at Vard's Norwegian yard, delivered in April 2019, began her first cruise from Málaga that month and was christened in Marseille in June. Like her sisters she carries up to 184 guests in 92 staterooms and suites and has the Blue Eye underwater lounge. She spends most of the year in the Mediterranean, with winters in the Caribbean from Martinique and Saint Lucia and, in 2027-28, Costa Rica and the Panama Canal.
