About Midnatsol

Midnatsol is a 16,151-ton ship from 2003, built by Bruces Verkstad in Sweden and Fosen Mekaniske Verksteder in Norway and a sister of Trollfjord; she is the fourth Hurtigruten ship to carry the name. After years on the coastal route she sailed for the expedition division as Maud from 2021, then returned to Hurtigruten under her original name in November 2024 and stood in on the Bergen–Kirkenes route. A spring 2026 refurbishment made her the line's third Signature ship from May 2026, with 272 cabins for up to 570 guests, a two-story observation deck, a panoramic sauna and the Røst restaurant. She sails the Svalbard Line in summer and the North Cape Line from Hamburg in winter.
