About MSC Splendida

MSC Splendida is the second Fantasia-class ship. Planned as MSC Serenata, she was renamed during construction, entered service in July 2009 and was named in Barcelona by Sophia Loren. She measures 137,936 gross tons and 333 metres, with room for about 3,900 guests. She has sailed the Mediterranean and East Asia and was refurbished in 2017 before a deployment to China. After a summer 2026 of Mediterranean cruises from Palermo, she spends the 2026-27 South American season sailing from Buenos Aires and Rio de Janeiro.
