About Viking Herja

Viking Herja is a 190-guest Viking Longship, one of the 135-meter sister ships that make up most of Viking's European river fleet, and it entered service in 2017. Herja, its namesake, is a Valkyrie named in the thirteenth-century Prose Edda. For 2026 and 2027 Viking schedules it mainly on Paris to the Swiss Alps, a Moselle and Rhine cruise from Trier to Basel framed by stays in Paris and Zurich. Its schedule also includes Christmas on the Rhine & Moselle sailings and the Rhine Getaway between Basel and Amsterdam. The square-bowed design fits three full passenger decks under a sun deck with an herb garden, a putting green and a walking track.
