About Viking Sekhmet
Viking Sekhmet is an upcoming 82-guest Nile ship of the Osiris class, which Viking builds, owns and operates in Egypt. Sekhmet, its namesake, is an ancient Egyptian goddess of war. Delivered at Massara shipyard in Cairo in late September 2026, it was announced to debut in November 2026; its first listed departure is a Pharaohs & Pyramids trip beginning November 1, 2026, with guests boarding in Luxor a few days into the itinerary. Its announced program includes Pharaohs & Pyramids, which pairs hotel nights in Cairo with an eight-day Nile round trip from Luxor to Aswan and a Total Eclipse on the Nile departure in 2027. The design borrows from Viking's Longships, with a square bow, an indoor-outdoor Aquavit Terrace, a pool on the top deck and 41 staterooms that include two Explorer Suites.
