About Viking Skirnir

Viking Skirnir is a four-deck Viking Longship for 190 guests that joined the fleet in 2015. Skirnir, its namesake, is the servant who won the giantess Gerd for the god Freyr and took Freyr's sword as payment. Through 2027 it sails chiefly on Rhine & Main Explorer cruises between Nuremberg and Basel. Its schedule also includes the Rhine Getaway between Basel and Amsterdam and Christmas on the Rhine & Main sailings. Public rooms follow the Longship pattern: a lounge with floor-to-ceiling glass doors, a panoramic restaurant, the indoor-outdoor Aquavit Terrace at the bow and a sun deck with solar panels.
