About Viking Vidar
Viking Vidar is a four-deck Viking Longship for 190 guests that joined the fleet in 2015. Vidar, the namesake, is the son of Odin who avenges his father at Ragnarok. Through 2027 it sails chiefly on the Grand European Tour, which links Budapest and Amsterdam by way of the Main-Danube Canal. Its schedule also includes Passage to Eastern Europe, a lower-Danube route between Bucharest and Budapest, and the 23-day European Sojourn between Amsterdam and Bucharest. Public rooms follow the Longship pattern: a lounge with floor-to-ceiling glass doors, a panoramic restaurant, the indoor-outdoor Aquavit Terrace at the bow and a sun deck with solar panels.
