About American Splendor
American Splendor is a 180-guest paddlewheeler that American Cruise Lines introduced in 2016 as America and renamed in 2022, when the line redecorated its four classic paddlewheelers. Built by Chesapeake Shipbuilding in the traditional style, with a red stern paddlewheel, it has six decks, a glass-enclosed restaurant with open seating, three lounges including the River Lounge, a study, a fitness center on the fourth deck and an elevator. The line describes it as the world's newest paddlewheeler. It sails the Mississippi and its tributaries, with Lower Mississippi, Music Cities and Tennessee River cruises in 2026.
