About Veendam

Veendam was a Statendam-class ship that sailed for Holland America from 1996 to 2020, named after the municipality of Veendam in the northern Netherlands. She moved to the Dutch flag in 2006, an April 2009 dry dock in Freeport rebuilt her stern, and Wikipedia lists a further refit in 2016. In July 2020 Holland America sold her and her sister Maasdam to the Greek ferry operator Seajets; she was handed over at Katakolon in August 2020 and renamed Aegean Majesty. She never sailed for her new owner and has remained laid up in Greece.
