About Zuiderdam
Zuiderdam, which began sailing in December 2002, was the first of Holland America's four Vista-class ships, a mid-sized design named for its generous use of glass; about 85 percent of her cabins have ocean views. Her name joins the Dutch word for south with the -dam suffix shared by the fleet, and her art collection has a Venetian carnival theme. She carries about 1,920 guests. She spends the winter on Caribbean cruises from Miami and the summer in northern Europe, mostly Norwegian fjords cruises from Amsterdam, followed by an autumn of Canada and New England sailings. Holland America has published revised deck plans for sailings from March 2028 under its Holland America Evolution program.
