166 sailings across four regions
Seabourn has filled in the details of its summer 2029 ocean program. It includes 166 sailings to more than 180 destinations, according to Cruise Industry News, which reported the plans on October 14, 2026. Three ships cover four regions: the Mediterranean, Northern Europe, Alaska, and Canada and New England.
Seabourn's 2029 summer page says the new voyages are now open to the public. It also lists an early booking offer: 10% off new 2029 summer ocean voyages when booked by November 4.
Mediterranean: Egypt is back
Seabourn Ovation will sail the Mediterranean from March to November 2029. It has 21 different itineraries across the Western Mediterranean, Italy, the Adriatic and the Aegean.
The biggest change is a return to Egypt. It is Seabourn's first time there in more than five years, according to Seatrade Cruise News. Select voyages stay overnight in Alexandria, so guests can visit Cairo and the pyramids of Giza.
Other highlights:
- New themed voyages called "Italian Coast & Fireworks Over Corsica" and "Pyramids & Evening at Ephesus"
- A first call at Kapsali, on the Greek island of Kythira, a port Seatrade says larger ships cannot use
- A free "Evening at Ephesus" event with an after-hours classical music performance in the ancient city
- In some ports, market and food shop visits with Seabourn chefs
Northern Europe: a new Gulf of Bothnia trip
Seabourn Quest will sail Northern Europe from May to September 2029. Its routes cover Scandinavia, the Baltic, the British Isles, northern Norway, Iceland and Greenland.
The new piece is a seven-day Gulf of Bothnia voyage through Sweden and Finland. It makes first calls at Härnösand, Kemi, Rauma and Oulu. Quest also adds first calls at Alta and Frøya in Norway. There are longer or overnight stays in Bordeaux, Rouen, Helsinki, Tallinn, Edinburgh and Hamburg. Turku, Finland, will be visited during its 900th anniversary year.
Voyages can be joined into 14-, 21- or 28-day trips, or longer.
Alaska: glaciers on every sailing
Seabourn Encore will sail Alaska from May to September 2029. There are seven-day trips between Juneau and Vancouver. Longer 10- and 11-day trips go north to Valdez, Whittier and College Fjord.
Every Alaska voyage includes glacier viewing and Seabourn's expedition team. Guests can pay for optional Ventures by Seabourn outings, such as Zodiac rides and kayaking. Some itineraries add scenic cruising along British Columbia's Great Bear Rainforest.
Canada and New England: overnights in three cities
Seabourn Quest moves to Canada and New England in September and October 2029. These are 12- and 13-day voyages. They include overnight stays in Boston, Québec City and St. John's, Newfoundland. Smaller stops include Gaspé, the Îles-de-la-Madeleine and Prince Edward Island.
"Our 2029 Ocean Voyages collection offers guests more ways to spend meaningful time in the destinations they visit," said Crystal Morgan, Seabourn's senior director of deployment and itinerary planning.
Picking a ship for the trip
The three ships are not the same size. Ovation and Encore carry about 600 guests each. Quest carries about 450. All three are small by cruise standards, so the onboard feel will be similar whichever region you pick. Your choice will come down to the region, the season and the length of trip you want.
The reports do not include fares for these sailings. Check the price on Seabourn's site, and compare it with the same trip in 2028 if your dates are flexible.
My take
The Egypt overnights and the Gulf of Bothnia trip are the parts of this program I would look at first, since both are new for Seabourn. If one of them is on your list, the November 4 early booking date is the one to remember. Pair two Quest voyages if you want a long, slow summer in the north.
